MK Party member of parliament Vusi Shongwe
JOHANNESBURG - The MK Party is calling for enhanced security for members of Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee.
The request comes as criminals hijacked MK MP Vusi Shongwe on Tuesday evening.
Three cell phones were taken and money was extorted from Shongwe.
A case was opened at Thembisa Police Station, and investigations are currently underway.
The party has requested a written response from Parliament, detailing the measures that will be implemented.
