Nandipha Magudumana allegedly assaulted by two inmates

JOHANNESBURG - Nandipha Magudumana has allegedly been assaulted in prison by other inmates. 

She's being held at the correctional facility in Kroonstad in the Free State. 

Her lawyer, advocate Machini Motloung says she was assaulted by two inmates in an incident that’s alleged to have happened yesterday.

Motloung says there have been threats of violence towards his client and has been reporting this to the authorities.

He says they would now have to lay a complaint with the Human Rights Commission.

Spokesperson for Correctional Services says they are yet to receive a report on the alleged incident.

Magudumana is among the accused facing charges of aiding and abetting Thabo Bester to escape from prison.
