KWAMBONAMBI - President Cyril Ramaphosa has declared late ambassador to France and former minister Nathi Mthethwa will be honoured with a Special Official Funeral Category 2 on Sunday.
The President has also directed that the National Flag be flown half-mast from Thursday, 9 October 2025, until the evening of the funeral on Sunday, 12 October.
National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola has sent over a top investigator, to help with the case in Paris.

Meanwhile, the Mthethwa family is dealing with a tragedy that is playing out in public, with wild speculations about his death.
Mthethwa's family is holding a memorial service in France.
