THEMBISA, GAUTENG - Health Deputy Minister, Joe Phaahla, says there is no link between the two fires that have burnt parts of the buildings in Tembisa Hospital.
On Wednesday, a fire reportedly burned down the filing room.
Fortunately, the two incidents left no injuries to any patients or staff.
The hospital remains a crime scene as forensic teams comb through the rubble to find the causes of the two separate fires.
The hospital's newly renovated accident and emergency unit went up in smoke on Saturday. No injuries were reported.
Although the hospital will not be accepting patients in the emergency ward, people will not be turned away.
However, the ward remains closed and patients are requested to go to nearby clinics for all emergency cases.
The DA in Gauteng is calling for intensive investigations into these fires.
Tembisa Hospital has been embroiled in corruption scandals in recent years, involving millions of rand.
Now, the DA is demanding a swift investigation into the possibility of arson. Jack Bloom who is the party's shadow health MEC, spoke to the ENCA.
