KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi
JOHANNESBURG - KwaZulu-Natal Police Commissioner Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is not being sought for arrest.
The Independent Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) has shot down social media rumours alleging a J50 warrant had been issued for Mkhwanazi’s arrest.
In a statement, the directorate described the claims as false.
It has accused the authors of trying to disrupt both the IDAC’s work and General Mkhwanazi’s fight against crime.
Authorities urge the public to stay alert for online misinformation, warning that such fabrications threaten to undermine and destabilise law enforcement.
