DURBAN - KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli has cautioned political parties against exploiting June 30 for political gain. Thousands of foreign nationals remain displaced as they await repatriation.
Protesters have given undocumented migrants until June 30 to leave the country.
"I must also speak directly to political parties, those inside the legislature and those outside it. This is not a moment for point scoring. It is not a moment to harvest votes from the fear of our people or the frustration of our communities.
“This is a defining period in our province's history and history will remember who acted with honor and who chose to play with fire. I call on every political party, every leader, every public representative, to act responsibly."
