Phala Phala | ActionSA wants report clearing Ramaphosa made public

JOHANNESBURG - South Africans deserve to know the details of the Reserve Bank report that clears President Cyril Ramaphosa of wrongdoing in the Phala Phala farm scandal.

So says ActionSA leader, Herman Mashaba.

The party has submitted an application in terms of the Promotion of Access to Information Act to access the report.

Mashaba says the report must be released or it will stink of a cover-up.

"I'm really quite dismayed by the actions of the Reserve Bank," Mashaba said.

"I think it's really unfortunate for them to treat such a case like someone has just stolen a cellphone.

"This report it's a whitewash, it's for that reason this morning our legal team is submitting a PAIA application to have this application be made public."
