Police believe they have the main suspects in Joala murder

JOHANNESBURG - The police believe they have the main suspects in custody in the murders of Rand Water executive Teboho Joala and his bodyguard . 

Three were arrested this week, bringing the number of people being held in connection with the January killings to four. 

Gauteng Police Commissioner, Tommy Mthombeni says he believes that they have a water-tight case.

"Other suspects may be linked but the investigations will lead us to other suspects. But for now, we have a serious breakthrough with those suspects we arrested in KZN, those two were the main suspects that secured the warrants of arrest," said Mthombeni. 

"So we're confident that when we place this case docket before the court of law we will have done the groundwork so that the case can be processed and ultimately we see what would be the outcome in terms of the court processes" he said.
