Police crackdown on crime in Honeydew and Cosmo City

JOHANNESBURG - Operation Shanela swooped in on Honeydew and Cosmo City in Johannesburg.

It resulted in the arrest of nearly 50 illegal immigrants and 11 suspects on drug-related charges.

12 illegal liquor outlets were also shut down.

Gauteng police commissioner, Tommy Mthombeni, says they are monitoring a surge in tyre-spiking.
