Ramaphosa deems Oval Office visit a success

CAPE TOWN - President Cyril Ramaphosa has deemed his meeting with US President Donald Trump a success.

Ramaphosa, along with a delegation of ministers, businesspeople and golfers, visited the White House to mend relations with South Africa.

In an ambush, Trump presented the delegation with what he deemed as 'proof' of a white genocide in South Africa.

Despite this, Ramaphosa says it all went well.

He says there were three main aims to the White House visit.

First was the restoration of trade and diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Another was to hold discussions around the G20 Summit.

South Africa currently holds the G20 presidency and will hand over to the US after the November Summit.
