JOHANNESBURG - ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has emphasised the importance of municipalities in promoting social and economic improvements.
He says councillors have the resources and opportunities to enhance the quality of life of communities they serve.

Ramaphosa also commended the positive contributions of some councillors.
He was speaking after an ANC NEC meeting in Nasrec, south-west of Johannesburg
Ramaphosa says municipalities should learn from each other to enhance service delivery.
He says the municipalities that are struggling should approach the ones that are doing well and copy winning strategies that can be applied.
