Restore the grid | Blackouts suspended but parts of Tshwane powerless

JOHANNESBURG - Blackouts may be suspended but residents in parts of Tshwane remain powerless.

This follows a major power outage in several areas in the city capital with 95,000 customers affected.

Affected areas are Mathibestad, Makapanstad, GaMotla, Eersterus, Stinkwater, Dilopye, Suurman, Majaneng, Sekampaneng, Mashimong, Bridgeview, Kudube, Temba, Rens, Hans Kekana and Hammanskraal West.

Eskom says technicians are working on restoring the power.

The power utility says it’s not clear when electricity will be restored but expects supply in most areas by the end of today.
