SA sends team to investigate Nathi Mthethwa's death in Paris

PRETORIA - The South African Police Service will send a team of investigators to Paris to probe the death of ambassador Nathi Mthethwa.

Five seasoned officers will form the team, and work with French authorities.

Mthethwa's body was discovered outside the Hyatt Regency hotel in Paris. French officials believe he fell from the 22nd floor.

Mthethwa's death has raised suspicions about possible foul play.

Parliament's International Relations Portfolio Committee hopes speculation around Mthethwa's death will be resolved soon.

SAPS National Spokesperson Athlenda Mathe says they are sending seasoned and highly experienced police officials for this case.
