SA weather | Heavy rains cause flooding in Margate, KZN

JOHANNESBURG - Residents in KwaZulu-Natal's coastal town of Margate are mopping up following a night of heavty rainfall and damaging floods.

Roads have been washed away in Margate and Uvongo.

Houses have also been damaged.

Motorists are also being urged to avoid the area with waters still subsiding in the CBD, Marine Drive and at the beachfront.

Roads from Margate to Port Edward were a no-go zone last night.
