SABC accuses Multichoice of bullying tactics

JOHANNESBURG - The SABC is turning to the Competition Commission in its fight with Multichoice for broadcast rights.

The public broadcaster is accusing Multichoice of bullying tactics.

The SABC says the company's anti-competitive after it inflated the price of rights to broadcast the Rugby World Cup.

The two broadcasters reached an agreement on Thursday, whereby the SABC will broadcast 16 of the 48 matches.
