Sabotage suspected to be behind water shortages in parts of Durban

DURBAN - The eThekwini Municipality believes sabotage is behind water shortages in parts of Durban.

Umhlanga residents have not had water for up to eight days.

Water supplies were interrupted due to low pressure.

Technicians then discovered an air valve in a pipeline was tampered with and another was vandalised.

Officials say this is not the first time this is happening.
