Sandton residents want urgent public meeting with Joburg Water

JOHANNESBURG - Councillors from several Sandton wards are demanding urgent answers and a public meeting with Johannesburg Water.

This follows days of cuts and intermittent supply in one of Johannesburg’s most affluent areas.

Residents say they’ve had enough - pointing to repeated pipe bursts, zero communication from officials, and unannounced water cuts.

Hospitals have had to shut units, businesses are taking a financial hit, and homes are suffering damages - all while residents continue to be billed for unreliable service.
