CAPE TOWN - Parliament’s ad hoc committee investigating alleged corruption in the criminal justice system got off to a tense start.

EFF leader, Julius Malema, objected over the absence of an original statement from KZN Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi.
Once proceedings got underway, Mkhwanazi says had it not been for the closure of the political killings task team, he would have never known about the infiltration of the SAPS in Gauteng.
