PRETORIA - SANDF Chief General Rudzani Maphwanya and National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola are in Pretoria to provide updates on the deployment.
There has been confusion over deployment, authority and which areas would benefit.
President Cyril Ramaphosa announced the deployment of the army is crime hotspots across the country. He said 2, 200 SANDF members would be deployed.
The deployment will run until the end of March 2027 to the tune of R823million.
