VOSLOORUS - The sister of Mazwi Kubheka, who had been missing for a month, has identified inconsistencies in the information released by police.
Nonhle Kubheka was speaking at the official briefing held by the authorities in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni. Stakeholders included Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni.
Mazwi went missing on 2 April, and on Saturday, he managed to make his way to the local police station.
"I have so many corrections to the statement ubaba (Mthombeni) has made, so many. And unfortunately, I cannot speak here, I will speak to them at the right platform," she said.
Nonhle thanked all the South Africans who supported the family by helping to look for her brother, protesting in his name, and sending messages of support during this difficult time.
She has also urged the provincial authorities to consider closing foreign-owned spaza shops to accommodate unemployed and retrenched South Africans who aspire to become business people.
