SA's water crisis | Rand Water to reduce supply to three municipalities

JOHANNESBURG - Rand Water is cracking the whip on municipalities that owe them millions.

Three municipalities in the Free State, Mpumalanga and Gauteng will have their water supply reduced.

The Merafong municipality in Gauteng owes the utility over R800-million.

Victor Khanye Municipality in Mpumalanga owes almost R400-million while Ngwathe in the Free state owes over R65-million.

Rand Water says the reductions will be intensified if no payments are forthcoming.
