Scopa wants ex-Prasa board members punished

CAPE TOWN - Scopa says it's eagerly waiting for Cape Town's Central Line to get back on track.

Recovery work can begin after land invaders were shunted off Prasa property.

The public spending watchdog is calling for the heads of former board members who cancelled security contracts during the Covid-19 pandemic.

This allowed people to move onto the land as the line was not operational.

It's conducted oversight visits to the Philippi and Nyanga stations where relocations are in progress.
