Second fire breaks out along Glencairn expressway

CAPE TOWN - The fire season is keeping the Western Cape firefighters busy.

Aerial water bombing efforts are underway outside the Cape Town communities of Glencairn and Scarborough.

The Glencairn Expressway remains closed to traffic between Kommetjie Road and Simon’s Town Main Road.

The blaze that broke out on the mountain slopes in Simon’s Town earlier this week has now been extinguished, but authorities remain on full alert for any flare-ups.
