JOHANNESBURG - Suspended KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Major General Leseja Senona and several other investigators have been cleared in an internal disciplinary hearing linked to the Esmael Nangy matter.
The case centered on allegations of police misconduct made by the suspected Mozambican kidnapping kingpin.

Nangy claimed the officers, including Senona, tortured him.
The disciplinary process began in October last year.
KZN police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, who Nangy also implicated, was not part of the disciplinary proceedings.
