WESTERN CAPE - Sentencing proceedings for Kelly Smith, Jacquen Appollis, and Steveno van Rhyn begin this Tuesday in the Western Cape High Court, sitting in Saldanha Bay.
They've been convicted of the kidnapping and trafficking of Joshlin Smith.
All three were found guilty of kidnapping the then-six-year-old from her home in Saldanha Bay in February last year.

During today’s proceedings, the State is expected to call witnesses to testify in aggravation of sentence.
The defence hasn’t indicated whether it will call witnesses to testify in mitigation of sentence. Judge Nathan Erasmus is expected to hand down sentences on Thursday.
