UMZINYATHI - Residents in Umzinyathi in Durban have little hope for the State of the Nation Address.

They say empty promises will not solve 15 years of water shortages and crumbling roads.

Instead they say they’re ready to take their plight to the streets.

The community has threatened to protest if their plight isn’t addressed.
