South Africans thanked for scrumming behind Amabokoboko

PRETORIA - The Springboks' celebratory spirit continues as they launched their Webb Ellis Trophy tour in Tshwane.

The tour kicked off at the Union Buildings and will conclude at the FNB Stadium in Soweto.

Sports Minister Zizi Kodwa says the win shows how sports can bring the nation together.

He said, "I think this what we see now in the country that binds us together is the power of sports and I think over time we have missed the opportunity to use sports as an instrument to build the national identity and national unity," he said.

Two-time World Cup-winning captain Siya Kolisi says the Boks are dedicating the win to all South Africans.

He says the record-setting fourth title can be used as a catalyst to mold South Africa for the better.

"We chose to dedicate this World Cup to you because you're honestly the reason why we are where we are today," Kolisi said.

"Your support kept us going."
