'Space muffin' suspects facing 43 counts of attempted murder

PRETORIA - The three suspects arrested in the Soshanguve space-cookies matter are now facing 43 counts of attempter murder.

Amukelani Nyulunga, Ofentse Maluleka and Katlego Matlala appeared in court on Wednesday.

They were arrested and charged with attempted murder after 90 school pupils fell ill after eating cookies sold by the three.

It is suspected the cookies were laced with  dagga.

The State is opposing bail.
