JOHANNESBURG - Electricity and Energy Minister Kgosientsho Ramakgopa and Eskom will today, provide an update on the status of the electricity generation performance.
On Friday the power utility announced the implementation of stage 3 power cuts until Monday morning.
It said the decision was taken after it lost 2,700 megawatts.
Unit 2 at the Koeberg power station was taken offline, and two units at the Kusile power plant were also affected by bad weather.
Eskom says higher levels of planned outages are expected in preparation for winter.
