State withdraws charges against 3 accused in Bester prison escape case

JOHANNESBURG - The State has withdrawn charges against three accused in the Thabo Bester prison escape saga.

Charges were withdrawn against Nastassja Jansen, Thabang Mier and Moeketsi Ramolula.

Dr Nandipha Magudumana's lawyer, Machini Motloung says his client fainted in the cell ahead of her court appearance.

Bester and his co-accused have appeared in the Bleomfontein Magistrates Court.
