There are attempts to hijack MKP - Nhlamulo Ndhlela

JOHANNESBURG - Former MK Party member Nhlamulo Ndhlela has rejected the claims that led to his suspension and expulsion.

The party kicked him and Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla out over allegations of gross misconduct and internal rule breaches.

Ndhlela said he was deliberately isolated from party leadership in the period before the disciplinary action.

“Reports which we first learned through the media, despite being longstanding and disciplined members of the organisation. From the inception of the MK party, we served the movement with dedication, loyalty and commitment.

“And at all material times, we have acted in the best interests of the movement and in accordance with the instructions and mandates given by leadership.

“On the background and suspension and purported expulsion, in the period leading up to my suspension, there were repeated attempts to isolate me from the president and to undermine mine and his role in the organisation."

Ndhlela was speaking at a press conference the pair hosted in Sandton
