JOHANNESBURG - State-owned logistics giant Transnet has suspended nine employees in a sweeping anti-corruption drive.
The employees are accused of colluding with suppliers. Disciplinary hearings have already started for three officials.
An internal probe found overcharging of 50 percent to 1,000 percent across dozens of transactions in the 2024/25 financial year.

Transnet has begun blacklisting implicated suppliers and referred the matter to law enforcement.
Group CEO Michelle Phillips said Transnet has zero tolerance for misconduct and is tightening controls to prevent future irregularities.
