PRETORIA - The City of Tshwane has at least 63 sinkholes, resulting in the majority of roads being closed to protect residents and infrastructure.
The recent heavy rains have worsened the matter, with new sinkholes forming in other parts of the Capital City.
The City currently has a R180 million budget shortfall and is knocking on the National Government's door for funding.
Along with their disaster management teams, they are working at declaring these sinkholes a national disaster.
