WATCH | AKA's former protector fears another cold case

JOHANNESBURG - Saturday marks exactly a year since the killing of rapper AKA and his friend, Tebello 'Tibz' Motsoane.

They were gunned down outside Wish Restaurant in Florida Road, Durban.

The restaurant closed its doors in April after a downturn in business following the shooting.

He feels the case could have been solved by now.

One of the first responders on the AKA and Tibz murder scene has recounted what he saw and felt a year ago.

The man - who spoke anonymously - says the killings were one of the reasons he eventually quit.

At the same time, police have revealed that some of the suspects are already behind bars - linked to other crimes.
