WATCH | Cape Town Mayor talks on city wanting to take over electricity supply

 

JOHANNESBURG - The City of Cape Town is urging residents to sign a petition backing the metro, to take over electricity supply from Eskom.

It says Eskom abandoned talks to transfer all its supply areas to the city.

About two-thirds of the Mother City areas are supplied by the metro.
