PRETORIA - The head of the Hawks, gave a quarterly update on their crime-fighting efforts between July and September.
The Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation in the South African Police Service has had some success tracking down cop killers, illegal miners, drug dealers and kidnappers, among people for other priority crimes.
Over 800 arrests in this period, 11,000 suspects are currently before the courts, and at least an 80 percent conviction rate.
