Woman (60) arrested for being in possession of stolen electricity infrastructure worth R3m

 

JOHANNESBURG - A 60-year old woman has been arrested for being in possession of stolen electricity infrastructure to the value of R3m.

Police recovered two transformers and 10 street lights belonging to City Power, after responding to a tip-off regarding theft of copper cables in Orange Farm, south of Johannesburg.

This comes as police intensity their efforts into the theft of stolen infrastructure that leads to power and water outages.
