Trent wants SAPS Ad Hoc Committee testimony struck from the record

JOHANNESBURG - Lawyers for attorney and fraud examiner Sara-Jane Trent have requested Parliament's Ad Hoc Committee to declare her testimony at the committee invalid.

Trent broke down repeatedly during her testimony, visibly shaken and in tears.

She now wants her evidence removed from the record.

Her lawyers say she was suffering from secondary trauma at the time.

Trent was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder in 2017.

Parliament has rejected her request, warning that if more follow, they may have no report at all.
