FICKSBURG, FREE STATE - The Electoral Court dismissed the ANC's application to have the U-Mkhonto Wesizwe Party de-registered with the IEC.
In round two, the party is still waiting for the outcome of its application at the Durban Court. The governing party is challenging the usage of the name uMkhonto WeSizwe and symbols by former President Jacob Zuma’s endorsed MKP.
There are calls within the party to focus on its election campaign and stop fighting what some call a losing battle with the MK Party.
eNCA reporter Siphamandla Goge was on the ground and had a conversation with ANC's Secretary General, Fikile Mbalula.
