JOHANNESBURG - The private sector is throwing its weight behind calls to renew the African Growth and Opportunity Act.
The trade deal that gives some states duty-free access to US markets, expires in 14 months.
But, South Africa and other African states want the deal renewed by the end of 2024.
That will be before a new US administration enters the Oval Office which may thwart the deal.
