DURBAN - ActionSA in KwaZulu-Natal wants health MEC Nomagugu Simelane-Mngadi to take responsibility for the shortage of essential medicines at public hospitals and clinics.
The party says the health department has allegedly issued a memo stating that medication supplies will only be replenished in April due to budget constraints.
Since 2019, the department has lost nearly R17 billion in budget cuts.
To discuss this, ActionSA KwaZulu-Natal Chairperson, Zwakele Mncwango spoke to eNCA.
