PARLIAMENT - President Cyril Ramaphosa is set to pronounce on contentious provisions of the education law – the BELA Act.

Earlier he signed the bill into law but suspended two disputed clauses which give government more ability and Governing boards less ability to determine the admissions and language policy of any given school.
The DA has been opposed to the two clauses.
The Basic Education Minsiter, Siviwe Gwarube, says she will implement any requested reforms as per her constitutional duty.
