JOHANNESBURG - The Healthy Living Alliance wants a sweet surprise from the Finance Minister.

It's calling for an increase in the Health Promotion Levy, otherwise known as the sugar tax.

HEALA says this will ensure South Africans realise their right to to nutritious food.

Evidence shows health taxes are the most cost-effective tools in controlling unhealthy consumption.
