Burns Awareness Week | Going beyond the burn with occupational therapy

Children, the elderly and those living in overcrowded conditions are most at risk.

And healing is more than skin deep, with occupational therapists playing a crucial role.

They help patients regain movement, confidence and independence.

As we mark National Burns Awareness Week, we discuss this with Aluwani Manenzhe, President of the Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa.
