Cancer treatment | 250 people a month to be treated at new Oncology centre

KIMBERLEY - R22 million has been invested into building an Oncology Treatment Centre in Springbok in the Namakwa District the Northern Cape. 

Currently, patients in the Namakwa District have no available Oncology Centre for Chemotherapy treatment and travel long distances for treatment to Kimberly or Cape town.

This impacts the ability for early and timely treatment that can be lifesaving. 

This also means treatment comes at a significant cost to the department.
