JOHANNESBURG - Legendary cartoonist Jonathan Shapiro -- or Zapiro -- has been honoured by the University of Pretoria.
The award-winning cartoonist received an Honorary Doctorate in Education this week.
Zapiro started his career in 80s telling stories through cartoons, and highlighting the importance of defending freedom of expression.
