JOHANNESBURG - The National Sea Rescue Institute is urging extreme caution for boaters at Hartbeespoort Dam.
It comes as thousands prepare to take to the water at the North West tourist attraction this holiday.
Thick blankets of water hyacinth are choking much of the dam and are expanding.
This poses serious risks for watercraft.
