Cholera outbreak | One case confirmed in NMB

NELSON MANDELA BAY - A case of cholera has been confirmed in the Nelson Mandela Bay metro.

A 47-year-old woman from Walmer township tested positive after being admitted to hospital.

Cholera is a bacterial infection that can be fatal in severe cases or if left untreated.

The municipality is investigating the source and whether it's linked to a blocked sewerage line.
