JOHANNESBURG - The Climate Change Act is now operational after being gazetted on Monday.
It enables the development of a climate change response and just transition to a low-carbon economy.
But, key parts of the legislation have been deferred.
These include emission reductions and phase-outs and carbon budgets.
We discuss this with Environment Minister, Dr Dion George.
