PRETORIA - Tshwane Mayor Nasiphi Moya has been appointed to South Africa’s Presidential Climate Commission.
The Commission aims to guide national strategies on climate change and environmental resilience.
The commission will focus on translating policy into actionable plans at local government level.
"The commission really is to look at the policies and strategies of the country on how we're responding to climate change," she said.
"I think the more you see the impact of climate change, whether in KZN, whether in Tata, whether in Swaimu in Cape Town, we've seen the impact of climate change."
